“The Two Kings”: a historical remembrance at the Swabian Castle of Bari
On Sunday, May 3, 2026, the Swabian Castle of Bari will host an exclusive event organized by Slowtravels.it and the Compagnia d’Arme Stratos, designed to rediscover history through an experience of “temporal disorientation.”
The initiative is not a simple guided tour, but a genuine plunge into the past, featuring actor-guides who interact with the audience and create a bridge between past and present.
The goal is to disrupt participants’ perception of the present and immerse them in a suspended atmosphere, where the austerity of Swabian stone meets the evocative and suggestive storytelling of two iconic figures who shaped the destiny of the region: Frederick II and Charles I of Anjou.
The event is free of charge, coinciding with the first Sunday of the month; however, registration is required through the portal www.slowtravels.it.
The remembrance takes place according to the following schedule:
- 9:00 AM: Opening of the Castle’s doors
- 10:00 AM: Event opening and first tour
- 4:00 PM: Second tour
- 6:00 PM: Event closing
Please note that the Castle will remain accessible throughout the entire day, during its regular opening hours.
