For personal use, for study and for the promotion of non-profit cultural heritage, it is possible to photograph works and cultural assets exhibited in state museums without the use of flashes, lights, selfie sticks, tripods and other media.

For the same purposes, photographic reproduction and / or the publication of images is granted free of charge, except for the reimbursement of any material costs incurred by the Regional Directorate of Puglia Museums or by the Museum for reproduction. For other uses, including commercial ones, it is necessary to request authorization and verify the application of a fee issued by the Regional Museum Directorate or by the Museum to take photographs or videos and for photographic reproduction and / or Publication of images of the state cultural heritage.

CONCESSION FOR USE OF MUSEUM SPACES

The granting of use of state assets delivered to the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and for Tourism is governed by the Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape. The use of the asset, having assessed the type of event to be carried out, may be subject to a fee; instead, to guarantee the protection of the asset, the stipulation of an insurance policy and a surety policy are always required.

If the concession for use of the spaces involves – because it is carried out outside the ordinary opening hours of the site or due to the particularity of the event – the use of staff inside the museum complex, it is required, in compliance with the agreements stipulated at of national bargaining, a surety policy to guarantee the payment of the amounts due to the staff who will perform activities on behalf of third parties.
The request must be sent to the Regional Museum Management, the body responsible for issuing the authorization.

MUSEUM SERVICES

In addition to the organization of exhibitions, cultural events and promotional initiatives, in order to meet the needs of heritage enhancement and cultural promotion, each museum is required to offer the following services to the public: access, acceptance, on-site ticketing, guided tours and didactic assistance, consultation of archive materials and fruition of scientific activities.
As required by art. 115 of the Code of Cultural Heritage, the so-called additional services can be managed directly or indirectly by entrusting them to private individuals. The procurement of cultural services does not transfer the entire asset management activity, but only the exercise of some ancillary activities. With the granting of a public cultural service, however, the Administration transfers to the concessionaire the tasks of enhancing and managing the cultural property.

Between 2009 and 2010, the Ministry published and updated the so-called Guidelines on the activation and assignment in concession of services to the public in Italian cultural institutes. The Regional Museums Directorates take care of the definition of agreements with other public and private bodies for the management of common instrumental services for the benefit of visitors.

SERVICE QUALITY ACT

The Service Quality is the act by which the museum presents itself to the public through a concise description of its identity and mission, of the functions and activities it carries out; identifies the services, forms and ways through which users can access them. It therefore performs the dual function of a museum presentation card and a user rights card.

The Charter is a communication and information tool that allows users to know the services offered and to verify that the commitments undertaken are respected, and to express their evaluations also through forms of complaint.
